Thinking of these lines:
“[…] and eat rice, prunes, dates, raisins, and tomatoes
if one would conquer ‘the main peak of Mount Tacoma.'”
Obvious and probably right answer is no, but then look at the a‘s and the o‘s, at the ma‘s and the mat and the Tac. More visually a rhyme than audibly; more a joke on an audible rhyme than an actual rhyme; maybe an audio/visual combination makes a rhyme…?
Looking at this poem, the question seems frequently to come up: is a poem principally written/ read or principally recited/ heard.
