came again upon κρεμμανυμι, in Homer, a lyre hung upon a peg (Odyssey, 8 105): “κὰδ δ᾽ ἐκ πασσαλόφι κρέμασεν φόρμιγγα λίγειαν” and he set upon the peg the clear-toned lyre.
